General Evacuation Drill
We conducted a general evacuation drill of the plant.
The safety and health of our people are at the center of everything we do. To provide training on safety procedures for unforeseen emergency situations, we conducted a practical exercise this week involving a full evacuation of the plant in response to a potential earthquake and tsunami threat.
This activity, held at our facilities, is part of a work plan that is continuously reviewed by our Emergency Committee. This allowed our direct staff, along with contractor personnel, to clearly identify key aspects such as emergency meeting points, evacuation routes, and safety areas. The goal is to be well-prepared to ensure an effective response in real situations.
Regarding the outcome of the drill, Sergio Moreno, Head of the Occupational Safety and Health Department, said: “We are very satisfied with the results. The exercise was highly successful, with participation from all companies within the plant, as well as those on shift and new arrivals. I thank our Joint Health and Safety Committee for their ongoing contributions and for helping ensure that our staff is well-trained for any potential emergencies.”
