In order to optimize our operations and guarantee efficient responses to the growing demand from our customers, our maintenance team carried out the tasks planned for this process.
(PGP, General Plant Shutdown) this year. This process will allow us to maintain our machines and facilities, prolonging their useful life and avoiding risks or unplanned shutdowns.
From January 2 to 22, the Maintenance team performed 1,200 maintenance and repair activities, at mechanical, electrical and, mainly, structural level in all areas of our company.
Ricardo Contzen, assistant manager of Maintenance, Energy and Services, noted, «PGP is not simply an operational stop at the beginning of the year; it is a fundamental strategy to maintain and improve the efficiency and safety of our operations. Environment and safety were essential aspects in this process, in which there were no incidents, accidents or injuries, as a result of the great commitment and responsibility of all those who participated in this process.
